The rectangular ferrite magnets are glued in a U-profile iron shell with small hole in two ends. The iron shell with hole make the ferrite magnets stronger and mountable. The magnetic assemblies are called ferrite (ceramic) channel pot magnets. You can fix the ferrite channel magnets onto any surface, and use them as magnetic holders. There are some common sizes in the following table.
To make ferrite channel magnets strong, anisotropic magnetic material are used.
Ferrite magnets are rust-resistant, coating are not needed.
The U-shaped steel cover is usually plated with nickel and zinc.
